Important Task (You can't forget)

The next occasional task on my son's planner is 'work'.  You will see from his planner that it stands out more than the other entries because it is underlined twice.  It also stands out a bit more visually than the other tasks on the planner and I've used bigger writing for this task.

Why?  This is the one task in the week that my son cannot forget.  You will see that he has one shift of work a week on a Monday.  Whilst other tasks on the planner are important, this is the one that would bring consequences if he didn't do it.  He might be asked to speak to his boss about attendance if he is late or doesn't turn up or he might not be paid.  If he doesn't go to work then this also has longer term consequences like a poor reference to take to his next job or that his colleagues might question whether he wants the job or is part of the work team.

I've also put the time of my son's shift into the planner as a visual reminder of the shift time.  In my opinion, you can't have too many reminders for very important tasks like getting to work.  Think about how you prioritise your tasks and how else you remind yourself of the most important tasks.  Some people set multiple alarms or reminders or have visual reminders up around their home or on their phone calendar or home screen.  How do you prioritise and remind yourself about the essential tasks in your week?  For some, these tasks are routine enough not to need reminders but for some, the reminders are still needed.  Please share your ideas of how to prioritise and remember these types of tasks in the comments below.
